The Master’s in Mathematics (PMAT) was implemented at the Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI) in 2013, as a result of the split from the Master’s Program in Physics and Applied Mathematics, created in 2006.

The main objective of the Master’s in Mathematics at UNIFEI is to train qualified personnel to carry out research and teaching activities within the scope of the areas covered. We aim for our students to be engaged with research from the moment they enroll in the program.

The program’s activities are organized into disciplines, seminars, work guidance aimed at research and scientific dissertation.

Our strengths, which constitute a difference in relation to other master’s programs, are the qualification of reseachers, quality scientific production, geographic location and the ability to attract financial resources.
