Master in Mathematics

Researcher Accreditation

The PMAT decided in its second ordinary assembly of 2020, on August 27, 2020, on the following criteria necessary for accreditation and permanence as a permanent researcher:

Have published in the last 04 (four) years at least 03 (three) articles in the Q1-Q2 quartiles that appear in Scopus or Web of Science in the area of Mathematics (taking into account all sub-areas of Mathematics that appear on these two platforms).

The metrics from the most recent year available on both platforms will always be used and the compliance with the criteria will be checked every two years in the first half of January, starting in 2021.

The permanent teaching staff will be stable for two years.

The PMAT will not have a collaborator, but in the case of a permanent researcher who does not meet the criteria established above when checking them and is supervising a master’s student who is expected to defend his dissertation within six months, this researcher will remain at the program as a collaborating researcher (with a maximum term of six months) and will be removed from the program after the student’s dissertation defense.
